Free PD for High School Biology and Middle School Life Science Teachers
This free PD on Saturday, September 21, 9-12 a.m. will include the hands-on activity, Enzymes Help Us Digest Food, the analysis and discussion activity, Introduction to the Functions of Proteins and DNA, and a talk on Protein Structure and Function in Archaea. The registration deadline for Philadelphia teachers to be guaranteed supplies is September 4; the final registration deadline is September 18. If you plan to attend, please register by filling out the form at https://forms.gle/Pp68QLsQZ9mrXkKo8. For Philadelphia, Upper Darby or Chester teachers who register by Wednesday, September 4 and participate in this PD, we will provide the supplies for the enzyme activity. Registration will remain open until Wednesday, September 18. If you are a teacher from Philadelphia, Upper Darby or Chester and you register after September 4, we may be able to provide supplies, but we can’t guarantee that. We will also provide Act 48 credits to participating teachers.
This PD session will be held in Room 101, Leidy Lab (3740 Hamilton Walk) in the Biology Department of the University of Pennsylvania.
