The Academy at Palumbo is looking for a Physics teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.  Palumbo is a public magnet high school in the Philadelphia School District.  The position is full time and requires someone to can teach four sections of general physics (primarily conceptual – there is curricular freedom and we have Holt textbooks that primarily sit unused) and one section of AP Physics 1 (we have Giancoli textbooks, but an order was placed for a class set of Knight at the end of last year) to high school juniors.  Ideally, we’d also like someone who can take over some coaching duties for our First FTC team and wants to help run a MakerSpace we’ve assembled, but those are not requirements.
